Inside Out
Rosella
The home features a shared palette of light-radiating colors and surfaces that creates an easy transition between indoor spaces.
As our longtime clients, we know their love of cooking and entertaining. We worked closely with them to reimagine their dark and dated kitchen, and to transform an adjoining deck into an inviting sunroom.
We considered the function and placement of every feature to make the new kitchen an ideal workspace as well as the heart of their remodeled home. No detail was overlooked.
Appliances and fixtures were concealed to reduce clutter and expand the room. The custom cabinetry is faced with a fine-grained golden African anigre. The counters and full-height backsplashes are satin Taj Mahal quartzite. A new wet bar and buffet also feature matching quartzite.
Cream-colored plaster walls and travertine tile floors frame the kitchen, the new sunroom and the rest of the home. A beloved watercolor and a hand-knotted Tibetan rug inspired supporting color choices —coral, rust, gray-blue. Lastly, elements such as woven wood chairs, a side table that mimics a tree trunk, and a coffee table in the shape of a smooth, gray river rock bring nature indoors.
